Gomez posted a video on YouTube last night that showed her meeting longtime celebrity crush Shia LaBeouf backstage at a television studio. The 18-year-old starlet came face-to-face with the Transformers bad boy, 25, for the first time after her handlers sneakily told her she was simply going to meet some fans in a dressing room.

“Oh my gosh,” Gomez said when she saw LaBeouf, before quickly turning around and rushing out of the room.

“Hey, nice to meet you,” LaBeouf said after running after her. “Hey, how are you? How you doin’? Thanks for being so sweet to me. You’re really sweet to me.”

A flustered Gomez told the actor, “I admire you.” They took a couple of photos together before Gomez shuffled away into another room. “He’s so cute,” she said to her mom. “He’s so handsome.”

“I am so embarrassed,” she added. “I walked right out.”

LaBeouf’s publicist, Melissa Kates, insists she had nothing to be red-faced about. “That’s actually nice and refreshing to see somebody that genuine,” Kates said. “Trust me, he likes it.”

Can’t help but wonder if the Biebster is also going to like it once he sees the video, especially after Gomez tweeted a link to it with the message, “Best…Day…Ever.”

Gomez’s crush on LaBeouf goes way back. In October 2008, a then-single Gomez shouted once shouted to reporters on a red carpet, “Let Shia know I’m available!”

Tuesday night the duo hit up the Lakers game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and they didn’t go unnoticed. Both were featured on the infamous kiss cam and shared a sweet smooch in the spotlight.

And while these teenage lovebirds looked completely smitten with one another, there was actually some disagreement between the two…

Justin was rooting for the L.A. Lakers, but Selena was cheering for her home state’s team, the San Antonio Spurs.

“LET’S GO SPURS!! LET’S GO!” she tweeted mid-game, along with a picture of her ticket.

The “Boyfriend” singer, on the other hand, simply hashtagged “LAKETIME” to show his support for the home team.

In the end, Selena got her way: The Spurs beat the Lakers 112 to 91.

The $16 million The Roommate scooped up a relatively impressive $15.6 million, per estimates, to top a Super Bowl-sapped weekend. The Cameron-produced (and -promoted) 3-D flick, Sanctum, came away with just $9.2 million.

Elsewhere, Natalie Portman continued to personally dominate the Top 10, with No Strings Attached and Black Swan, while The King’s Speech—no lie—closed in on The Green Hornet. (The “little” Oscar film is at $84.1 million overall domestically; the would-be blockbuster is at $87.2 million.)

Exiting the Top 10: The much-maligned Yogi Bear, which hung on for seven weekends, and managed to produce a $95.5 million take (off an $80 million budget); and, the critically acclaimed The Fighter, which also lasted seven weekends, and has grossed $82.5 million domestically (off a $25 million budget).

Looking ahead, Justin Bieber arrives on Friday, in the documentary form of Never Say Never, to save Hollywood.

The judge gave fellow former Mouseketeer Tony Lucca her honest but blunt critique on his performance not too long ago. Now, Us Weekly reports that The Voice coach seemed to continue the blows with Justin Bieber last night.

The Biebs appeared on the reality show to feature a teaser clip of his upcoming music video for “Boyfriend”—which was superhot, by the way—and announce his album’s release date. But when he went to say goodbye to each coach, he and Xtina shared a somewhat awkward kiss on the cheek, followed by a cold expression on her face.

Hey, after that “Boyfriend” clip, anyone would be a little flustered, but we think there was more to it than that.

The “Fighter” singer was faced with the incredibly difficult task last night of having to eliminate either Ashley De La Rosa or Lindsey Pavao, two of her favorites from Team Xtina. She even cried about it (real tears, you guys).

“Maybe my saddest day of #TheVoice to date- letting @UKnowAshleyDLR go was extremely hard. She is a star who we have NOT seen the last of!!,” she tweeted.

So you can’t blame her for having a little too much on the brain when Biebs was there. We’re sure it wasn’t personal.

We just confirmed that Lopez will be performing at this Sunday’s 2011 American Music Awards at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre.

It was previously announced that Anthony will hit the stage during the awards show for a performance with Pitbull. Rapper Lil Jon will also join them.

“Im super excited 4 the AMAs!! Big announcement next week! Have you voted yet??” Lopez tweeted last week.

Nicki Minaj will be opening the show with other scheduled performers, including Christina Aguilera, Maroon 5, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Chris Brown, Kelly Clarkson and Gym Class Heroes.

Let’s just hope Lopez doesn’t bring new beau Casper Smart to the event. As we told you earlier today, the American Idol judge has reportedly moved on from Anthony and rumored love interest Bradley Cooper with the Los Angeles-based backup dancer.

Earlier this month Lady Gaga surpassed Justin Bieber as the most-followed person on Twitter.

But the Biebs’ army has devised a plan to get their man back as king of the Twitterverse…

“To all beliebers this is operation unfollow Lady Gaga,” an ardent J.B. fan tweeted, as excerpted by the New York Post. “I’m sorry if your a ‘little monster’ but don’t [you] want Justin to be #1 followed on Twitter? Well here is the plan we all know that all beliebers with twitter follow Justin and we don’t have to [create] a million accounts with this plan. First, it’s simple to lok up Lady Gaga on Twitter. Next unfollow her. Simple!

“I’m not trying to trash Gaga or anything I am a [fan] of her music but I think Justin should be #1 followed on Twitter,” the superfan added. “That’s all but believers please spread the word for me okay? Thank you all that helped.”

Bieber nation even created a hashtag to help get the pop icon back on top: #OperationUnfollowGaga.

Gaga’s Little Monsters were not amused by the Beliebers’ tactics. “Pathetic,” one fan responded.

And while Lady Gaga might be queen of the social media world with over 21 million followers, we somehow think Justin is doing just fine with his 19 million-plus.

Jennifer Lopez Tops Forbes Powerful Celebrity List

Lopez, 42, takes the No. 1 spot on this year’s Forbes Celebrity List of the post powerful people, and E!’s own Seacrest takes the top honor on the Hollywood Reporter‘s list of most powerful individuals in reality TV.

Lopez climbed to No .1 on Forbes‘ list after ranking 50th last year. She ousted Oprah Winfrey (now in second place) for the coveted top spot, also besting Justin Bieber (3), Rihanna (4) and Lady Gaga (5).

Other celebs topping Forbes‘ list include Britney Spears (6), Kim Kardashian (7), Katy Perry (8) and Tom Cruise (9). Taylor Swift ranked a respectable 11th place, while Angelina Jolie came in at 13 and Beyoncé at 16. Seacrest didn’t come in the lead on this list, but he did earn the 29th spot.

The American Idol host also beat out his friend and former coworker Simon Cowell as a powerful reality TV player: Cowell was ranked No. 8 on the Seacreast-led list. Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner also made the list, coming in at No. 46 for her work as executive producer and star of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Bethenny Frankel, star and executive producer of Bethenny Ever After, was No. 49.

Bieber Laser Tag Eyewitness- No Homophobic Slurs,

You don’t have to have been there to know that this whole Justin Bieber-laser tag-alleged assault story has gotten way out of hand. But it helps.

Michael Kwen, a fellow laser tagger who not only eyewitnessed the entire non-event, but served as Bieber’s confidant in its aftermath, has come forward to give his take on the tale exclusively to E! News.

Here’s what he had to say…

According to Kwen, Bieber and the allegedly victimized 12-year-old both emerged from the laser tag maze. The boy went straight to his father, and Bieber went straight to Kwen.

“He told me that he accidentally hit the kid while trying to escape by running through him and his friends,” Kwen said.

And while Kwen seemed to think there was nothing wrong or unusual about the accidental run-in, the boy’s father proved to be a less than calming influence.

According to Kwen, “He was yelling, like he was a lawyer…saying that Justin Bieber assaulted his kid.”

“It was just a normal game of laser tag, people will always bump into you,” Kwen said, going on to shoot down the rumors that some large melee occurred, or that whatever incident, as first reported by the blog ZackTaylor.ca, took place was sparked by a flurry of homophobic slurs.

Nothing, he said, could be further from the truth.

“There was no, there was absolutely no homophobic slurs at all towards Justin Bieber, or anything like that…I think that [the media is] making a bigger deal out of it than it is, because basically nothing actually happened.

“It was just a regular game of laser tag. It’s funny how the story always changes. First it was a slap, then it was a punch and now there’s homophobic slurs. None of that actually happened at all.”

Now that must be music to Justin’s ears.

Justin Bieber’s “Baby” Replaces “Go

This is taking Bieber fever to another level.

Greta Hawkins, school principal at Public School No. 90 in Brooklyn, made the decision today to scrap playing Lee Greenwood‘s patriotic “God Bless the USA” during the kindergarten graduation ceremony because it might “offend other cultures.”

So what does she conclude won’t offend anyone? Justin Bieber‘s “Baby,” of course.

We’re not sure if these youngsters are Bieber fans, but some officials are not supporting Hawkins’ idea.

“When a Justin Bieber song is deemed an appropriate substitute for a song about patriotism and love of country, what message are we sending our youth?” Rep. Michael Grimm said in a statement. “It’s time we stop letting our political correctness destroy our values and American traditions, and start embracing the exceptional people and cultures that make our country great.”

Maybe next year, the little graduates will sing “Boyfriend” or Bieber’s latest hit featuring Big Sean “As Long As You Love Me.”

Somebody get us a hose…because Justin Bieber is on fire!

And no, we don’t mean igniting the Twittersphere (even though he did just reach 25 million followers). Instead, a line of Justin Bieber nightshirts has been pulled from the shelves by British retailer Argos due to “safety concerns” and issues with “flammability requirements.”

“The products do not comply with the flammability requirements for nightdresses and could pose a risk if your child is exposed to an open fire or flame,” reads a statement from the company.

The statement also notes that children should never be “exposed to an open fire or flame,” but insists that Beliebers find another nightshirt to sleep-in:
